Anthropic released Cowork, bringing Claude Code's approach to non-technical work. Give Claude access to a folder, describe your task, and it reads, edits, or creates files - turning scattered notes into drafts or screenshots into spreadsheets.

Anthropic launched Cowork, extending Claude Code's file-based approach to non-technical tasks. Give Claude access to a folder, describe what you want, and it plans and executes - creating spreadsheets from screenshots, drafting documents from notes, or organizing files. Claude asks before significant actions for human oversight.

This brings Claude Code's agentic execution model to everyone, not just developers. Instead of a standalone chat tool, Cowork integrates with existing connectors and Chrome for browser tasks, positioning Claude as a hub for computer-based work beyond code.

Cowork launched as a research preview on macOS, handling anything you'd normally do manually across folders and apps.

Introducing Cowork: Claude Code for the rest of your work. Cowork lets you complete non-technical tasks much like how developers use Claude Code. https://t.co/EqckycvFH3
