Vercel's Anomaly Alerts are now generally available, enabling real-time monitoring for unexpected usage spikes and error patterns. When an anomaly is detected, Vercel Agent automatically investigates logs and metrics to identify the root cause and suggest remediation steps.

Vercel, a frontend cloud platform for building and deploying web applications, announced the general availability of Anomaly Alerts for teams using Observability Plus. The system monitors applications for usage anomalies, such as spikes in edge requests, and error anomalies, like sudden 5XX responses on specific routes.

This update integrates Vercel Agent, an AI-driven tool that performs automated incident response. Instead of developers manually digging through logs, the agent uses an agent loop (an iterative cycle of observing and reasoning) to analyze the impact and pinpoint the exact cause of a production issue.

You can view these alerts in the dashboard or receive them via Slack, email, and webhooks. The feature is included at no extra cost for all Observability Plus users, allowing teams to reduce recovery time by automating the initial triage and diagnosis phase.
