Elastic released an official plugin on the Cursor Marketplace featuring 33 agent skills and a dedicated Model Context Protocol endpoint for documentation. This integration allows AI coding agents to move beyond writing search queries to autonomously provisioning clusters, managing security, and configuring observability. It effectively turns the IDE into an infrastructure management console powered by grounded domain expertise.

Elastic, a search and data analytics platform, launched an official plugin on the Cursor Marketplace to integrate its ecosystem into the AI-native IDE. The release includes 33 agent skills (reusable, domain-specific capabilities) and a new MCP (an open standard for connecting AI to tools) endpoint that grounds the agent in official documentation.

This update shifts AI coding agents from simple code generation to active infrastructure orchestration. By providing pre-packaged skills for security and cluster management, Elastic ensures agents operate with native platform expertise rather than general training data. This reduces configuration errors while keeping the developer within a single workflow.

Use the command /add-plugin elastic to equip your agent to spin up Elasticsearch clusters, manage Kibana, and configure role-based access control. The plugin also supports setting up OpenTelemetry for observability and performing day-2 operations on serverless projects. The integration is available immediately through the Cursor Marketplace for all users.
