Cognition open-sourced the Devin handoff plugin for Claude Code, Codex, and other coding agents. The tool transfers local git context, including branch information and uncommitted diffs, to a cloud-based Devin session. This enables persistent background execution of coding tasks, allowing agents to continue working independently after a developer closes their local machine.
