Anthropic makes the 1 million token context window generally available for Claude Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6 at standard pricing, with no long-context premium. Media limits expand from 100 to up to 600 images or PDF pages per request.

Claude Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6 now support a 1 million token context window at standard pricing — $5/$25 per million tokens for Opus 4.6, $3/$15 for Sonnet 4.6. No beta header required; requests over 200K work automatically. Media limits expand to up to 600 images or PDF pages. Opus 4.6 scores 78.3% on MRCR v2 at 1M tokens, highest among frontier models at that length.

This brings large-scale context into standard workflows without extra cost. Entire codebases, thousands of contract pages, or a long-running agent's full trace — tool calls, observations, intermediate reasoning — are usable without lossy summarization or context clearing. On Claude Code, the 1M window is included by default for Max, Team, and Enterprise users with Opus 4.6.
