Claude Cowork Gets Dispatch — Control Your Desktop AI From Phone

Claude Cowork adds Dispatch, a persistent desktop session that accepts tasks from your phone. Give Claude a mission, step away, and come back to completed work. Max subscribers can try it by pairing the Claude mobile and desktop apps.

Claude Cowork adds Dispatch as a research preview — a persistent Claude conversation that stays active on your desktop after you leave. Message it from your mobile app, give Claude a task — pulling reports from internal dashboards, browsing the web, working through your files — and come back to results. Dispatch runs inside Cowork's sandboxed environment, so files stay on your local machine and Claude asks for approval before acting on anything.

This makes Claude Cowork behave more like a background worker than an interactive assistant. The ability to queue tasks from a phone and return to completed work removes the constraint of sitting at your desktop while Claude runs — a meaningful shift in how agentic AI fits into a workday.

Max subscribers can pair the Claude mobile app with their desktop app to start sending Dispatch tasks remotely.

We're shipping a new feature in Claude Cowork as a research preview that I'm excited about: Dispatch! One persistent conversation with Claude that runs on your computer. Message it from your phone. Come back to finished work. To try it out, download Claude Desktop, then pair https://t.co/r6OH46Ll89
