The Windows version will integrate with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel and Word. Running locally on the desktop, the agent keeps file access on-device to maintain data privacy, building on Perplexity Computer's hybrid inference approach to balancing local and cloud processing. This will extend previous Microsoft 365 integrations by allowing the AI to act across the entire operating system.
Users will be able to initiate tasks via Voice Mode or remote execution, starting workflows on mobile to finish on the desktop. The rollout will begin with a waitlist for Max and Enterprise Max subscribers. Administrators will manage security through folder scoping and activity logs.
