Perplexity announces Personal Computer for Windows to orchestrate local files and apps

Perplexity is bringing Personal Computer to Windows, an agentic AI (systems that autonomously plan and take multi-step actions) platform that will run on the desktop. This expansion follows the Personal Computer launch for Mac, bringing local file orchestration to Windows. The tool will operate as a digital worker capable of reading, searching, and editing files within user-approved folders.

The Windows version will integrate with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel and Word.
