Cursor 3 Launches Unified Workspace for Managing Parallel AI Agents

· Updated

Cursor released Cursor 3, a standalone interface designed for agent-led software development. While the IDE remains, this workspace centers on a new Agents Window that tracks all local and cloud sessions in one sidebar. It supports multi-repo layouts and integrates Composer 2, a frontier coding model with high limits.

The update addresses the friction of managing individual agents across fragmented tools. By providing a unified command center, it enables a seamless handoff between environments. You can start a session locally for testing and move it to a cloud agent to continue running while you are offline.

To access the interface, update the app and use the Cmd+Shift+P command to open the Agents Window. You can now run parallel agents, browse a marketplace for MCP servers, and use an integrated browser. This setup allows for faster verification of agent-produced code and documentation.

We’re introducing Cursor 3. It is simpler, more powerful, and built for a world where all code is written by agents, while keeping the depth of a development environment. https://t.co/rXR9vaZDnO
