Cognition Deploys Devin Across Mercedes-Benz Global Engineering Teams
CognitionCognition is partnering with Mercedes-Benz to integrate Devin, its autonomous AI software engineer, across the automaker's global engineering teams. This marks one of the most extensive industrial deployments of agentic AI to date, shifting from experimental tool use to large-scale engineering automation.
The move signals a transition from individual developer tools to industrial-scale agentic engineering. This follows the release of Devin's local shell integration, which introduced hybrid workflows for individual engineers. While many organizations still test agents in isolation, this deployment aims to accelerate software development across a global workforce.
You can now observe how autonomous agents handle the complexity of legacy systems and safety-critical environments at scale. This rollout builds on recent technical updates, including the GPT-5.5 model used in Devin's agent preview. Access to Devin remains available via the Cognition API for engineering teams.
