Atlassian Rovo MCP Server Connects Claude to Jira and Confluence
· Updated
Atlassian's Rovo MCP server is a remote integration layer that connects AI clients to Jira, Confluence, and the Atlassian platform through the MCP protocol. Point Claude - or any MCP-compatible agent - at your Atlassian workspace, and it can search Confluence pages, read project priorities, create Jira work items in bulk, and summarize work across your org without leaving your AI tool.
This addresses the context-switching that slows teams down. Product managers writing specs in Confluence can ask Claude to generate the full Jira ticket breakdown - 18 child tickets with priorities and story points - from a single Confluence link. The MCP server acts as a secure proxy with OAuth authentication, operating within the permissions of the signed-in user and without caching your data.
The Rovo MCP server is available to all Atlassian Cloud customers. Search for it in your AI client's connector gallery to get started.
