Users can now toggle between this new high-fidelity mode and the existing Speed mode on both web and mobile interfaces. The update focuses on enhancing fine details and providing stronger creative control during the generation process.This mode targets deeper world knowledge, a capability gap in many generative models. By improving how the system interprets realistic physics, spatial relationships, and specific cultural or brand references, xAI is moving toward more logical visual synthesis. It also significantly improves text rendering, a persistent challenge for AI image tools.
You can access Quality mode immediately by selecting it in the prompt bar on web or mobile. While the new model offers higher precision, the previous version remains available under the Speed setting for faster iterations. There are no mentioned changes to API pricing for this rollout.
