Vercel AI Gateway added video generation across four providers - xAI Grok Imagine, Alibaba Wan, Kling, and Google Veo - through
experimental_generateVideo in AI SDK 6 with 17 model variations. It supports text-to-video, image-to-video, first-and-last-frame transitions, reference-to-video for consistent character identity, and video editing with style transfer.Before this, each video provider required separate API integrations and auth flows. AI Gateway unifies that - one token, one observability dashboard, and provider switching via a model string. The no-code AI Gateway Playground lets you compare providers without writing code first.
Video generation is in beta for Pro and Enterprise plans. Start with the generateVideo() function in AI SDK 6 - swap the model string to benchmark quality and cost across providers before committing to one.
