Resend Launches Official MCP Server to Give AI Agents Full Platform Control

· Updated

Resend released its official MCP server, providing AI agents with native access to its entire email platform including domains, contacts, and templates. This update moves beyond basic email sending to allow agents to autonomously manage complex communication infrastructure through standardized tool groups.

Resend, an email platform for developers, launched its official MCP (Model Context Protocol — a standard for connecting AI to tools) server. This release provides full platform coverage across 10 tool groups, expanding from simple email delivery to comprehensive management of domains, contacts, templates, broadcasts, and webhooks.

This update shifts Resend from a service agents merely call to one they can fully operate. By supporting both stdio (standard input/output for local processes) and streamable HTTP transports, the server works across local environments and remote agent deployments. This standardization removes the need for custom API integrations.

You can now use agentic coding tools to perform high-level tasks like configuring sending domains or managing contact segments through natural language. The server is secure and local by default, featuring a one-command installation process. It is available for immediate implementation in any MCP-compatible client.
