This launch marks a strategic pivot after Meta spent nine months rebuilding its AI stack. While previous efforts focused on the open-source Llama series, Muse Spark is a proprietary model designed to close the performance gap. It uses multi-agent orchestration (multiple AI agents working together) to match the reasoning power of frontier models.
You can access the model today through the Meta AI app. New features include a Shopping mode for recommendations and specialized health reasoning developed with 1,000 physicians. A private API preview is open to select partners, with plans to open-source future versions as the Muse family scales.
