HeyGen Open Sources HyperFrames to Enable Agentic Video Engineering via HTML

HeyGen, an AI video platform specializing in digital twins, open-sourced HyperFrames. It is an agent-native framework that renders HTML-based compositions into MP4 files using a deterministic toolchain (same input produces identical output). The release includes a CLI and a registry of pre-built blocks and shader transitions.

This shifts AI video from unpredictable prompt-to-video generation toward precise engineering. Most AI video tools are black boxes with limited control; HyperFrames treats video as code that agents understand. By installing framework-specific skills, agents like Claude Code can autonomously write animations, allowing for repeatable, brand-consistent video production.

Start by adding the heygen-com/hyperframes skill to your agent via npx skills add. The framework also features a website capture tool that extracts design systems from a URL to help agents build videos matching a brand identity. The toolchain is available on GitHub and requires Node.js 22 and FFmpeg.
