Cursor Cloud Agents Use the Software They Build and Record Demos

CursorCursor

· Updated

Cursor cloud agents now run in isolated VMs where they build software, test it by actually using the UI, and record video demos as proof of their work. Internally, over 30% of Cursor's merged PRs come from agents operating autonomously.

Cursor launched cloud agents with computer use - coding agents that get their own virtual machines, build software, then test it by actually using the UI. Instead of handing you a diff, agents record videos navigating the app, clicking buttons, and verifying behavior. They're accessible from the web, mobile, desktop app, Slack, and GitHub.

Each agent runs in an isolated sandbox, so you can spin up multiple agents in parallel without resource conflicts. Cursor has been using this internally for a month - agents build features, reproduce security vulnerabilities, test UI flows, and handle quick fixes. You can also take over an agent's remote desktop to try the modified software yourself without checking out the branch.

Instead of micro-managing small tasks, delegate a full feature or bug scenario. The agent records its own proof — use that video to decide what ships, not the diff.

Cursor now shows you demos, not diffs. Agents can use the software they build and send you videos of their work. https://t.co/gBRJXWR7Vi
