Cloudflare Integrates Claude Compliance API to Audit Enterprise AI Activity

Cloudflare, a connectivity cloud and security platform, integrated Cloudflare CASB (a security tool for scanning cloud apps) with the Claude Compliance API. This connection provides out-of-band visibility into Anthropic usage by monitoring data at rest without network interception. It surfaces security findings for projects, chats, and files directly in the dashboard.

This integration fills the visibility gap where traditional security tools struggle to inspect conversational prompts. While Cloudflare recently launched its Claude Managed Agents integration, this update targets data governance for human-to-AI interactions. It allows organizations to sanction AI tools with the same auditability as traditional SaaS applications.

You must have a Claude Enterprise account to enable the integration via the Cloudflare dashboard. The system scans for data loss prevention (DLP) violations in user prompts and generated artifacts. Findings are grouped by severity, allowing teams to triage risks alongside other enterprise SaaS alerts.

Still wondering? A few quick answers below.

This integration connects Cloudflare's cloud access security broker to Anthropic's Claude Compliance API. It allows security teams to monitor how employees use Claude Enterprise and Platform accounts directly from the Cloudflare dashboard. The system scans for security risks, misconfigurations, and improper data sharing without requiring any software agents installed on user devices.

Cloudflare uses a lightweight API-to-API connection to scan data at rest within the Claude environment. It programmatically retrieves security-relevant data about organizations, workspaces, and usage. This out-of-band approach surfaces actionable findings like sensitive data leaks in chat messages or project attachments without needing to inspect live network traffic or install endpoint agents.

Security teams can monitor projects, chat messages, user-uploaded files, and AI-generated artifacts for data loss prevention violations. For Claude Enterprise, it surfaces details on organizations and roles, while for the Claude Platform, it tracks API key creation and workspace changes. These findings are grouped by severity alongside alerts from other enterprise SaaS applications.

The integration is available to Cloudflare One customers who have a Claude Enterprise account. Users must first request Compliance API access from Anthropic for their organization before entering their API key into the Cloudflare Zero Trust dashboard. New Cloudflare customers can start using their first two SaaS integrations for free upon signing up.

To get started, ensure you have a Claude Enterprise account and have requested Compliance API access. In the Cloudflare dashboard, navigate to the Zero Trust section, select Integrations, and add Anthropic by entering your Compliance API key. You can then configure data loss prevention profiles to begin scanning uploaded files and chat messages for sensitive information.
